About Mabel Toribio, MD

Mabel Toribio MD (she/her) is a clinical investigator within the Massachusetts General Hospital Metabolism Unit. Dr. Toribio's clinical interests include neuroendocrine disorders and pituitary tumors, lipid and metabolism disorders, and gender-affirming hormone therapy. As the Director of Transgender Health Research within the Metabolism Unit, Dr. Toribio leads clinical and survey research aimed at optimizing the health of gender-diverse populations.

Dr. Toribio received her undergraduate degree in Biology summa cum laude from Duke University. She later completed medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. This was followed by Internal Medicine residency training at the University of California, San Francisco and Endocrinology fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital.
