About Rosalynn Nazarian, MD

Dr. Rosalynn M. Nazarian's clinical and research interests include the cutaneous pathology of inflammatory and fibrosing diseases. She serves on the Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Council of the Global Fibrosis Foundation and is the recipient of their 1st Junior Research Grant Award for her studies on signaling pathway activation in nephrogenic systemic fibrosis, scleroderma and keloid.

Her academic interests include wound repair, helper T-cell immune phenotypes in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, adverse drug eruptions, calciphylaxis, basaloid and squamous neoplasms, and molecular targets in Kaposi sarcoma. She has led investigations on immune dysregulation in acute erythroderma and chronic dermatitis for which she has earned the Eleanor and Miles Shore Fellowship Award. She is also a recipient of the Mass General Brigham in Excellence Award for Leadership and Innovation.

Dr. Nazarian teaches at Harvard Medical School and Continuing Medical Education courses. She lectures at the American Society of Dermatopathology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and has contributed over 100 articles to the peer-reviewed literature. Dr. Nazarian serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, member of the Peer Review Committee of the American Society of Dermatopathology, member of the Diversity Committee in the Department of Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dermatopathology Consultant on challenging telepathology cases from Tanzania and Kenya.
