About Mikayla Shaffer
Mikayla Shaffer is a clinical research assistant and clinic coordinator for the Massachusetts General Hospital Down Syndrome Program. Her involvement in her hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania’s community of people with disabilities ignited her passion for disability advocacy at a young age. She received her B.S. in Psychology Neuroscience from the Pennsylvania State University and plans to one day attend graduate school to pursue a career in Down syndrome medicine and research.
