Research

The Qadan laboratory focuses on the tumor microenvironment in pancreas cancer. Current scientific and translational efforts in his laboratory include the evaluation of the radiosensitizing effects of Losartan in orthotopic pancreatic cancer tumor models and new imaging biomarkers, such as Zinc magnetic resonance imaging, for early and accurate detection of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Dr. Qadan is also interested in clinical outcomes health services research and leads a large group of researchers who focus on methods to collect, analyze, and improve outcomes related to cancer surgery at the institutional and national level. His projects have earned national recognition in the form of multiple prizes and awards over the last few months.

Dr. Qadan is an active clinical investigator in several high impact clinical trials. He is a principal investigator on a prehabilitation study entitled "Pilot Study of a Multimodal Prehabilitation Pancreatic Cancer Program" where he enrolls patients in an exercise and nutrition program to improve their outcomes during treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Qadan is actively involved in many National societies and holds active leadership roles in several organizations. He has over 200 peer-reviewed scientific articles as well as several book chapters and scientific abstracts. Very, very caring. Listens to you and always asked if we understood his concerns. Although 45 minutes late, we understand he can have emergencies that need his time.
