Physician Education and Training
In addition to the major goal of the Division of Thoracic Surgery – which is to provide the very best and most modern thoracic surgical care to its patient – Massachusetts General Hospital conducts a very extensive educational program. Beyond the foreign visitors who visit to observe our procedures, a highly successful organized residency program in cardiothoracic surgery is ongoing. The graduates of this program hold major positions in similar units in medical schools and hospitals around the country.
Annual Post-Grad Course
Our annual post graduate course in general Thoracic Surgery – the first such course offered in the United States – continues to fulfill its mission for the 38th season. For more information on this program, please visit the Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education.
The next Postgraduate Course in General Thoracic Surgery will be held May 21-22, 2009. |
