Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) - A urinary tract infection, or UTI, usually occurs when bacteria from the digestive tract decides to hang onto the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the toilet (uerethra). Then it begins to multiply and in some infections the bacteria can infect the bladder or even the kidneys. People who have had an organ transplant are at increased risk for a UTI.
