The DCRP’s excellent research track record and success in obtaining research funding have enabled us to attract and retain the highest caliber of clinical researchers and to provide expert clinical care, despite insufficient reimbursement for clinical services. Increasing limitations in federal and industry funding, however, pose growing and serious challenges to our clinical and research mission.
These challenges, coupled with our ethical and clinical obligations to our patients and our interest as scientists and researchers, have motivated us to reach out to individuals who may be interested in establishing different types of endowment support or current use funding for one of our programs. Charitable gifts and grants are urgently needed to make it possible for our dedicated team to continue to pursue a broad spectrum of topics in depression research, as well as to offer first-rate sustained clinical care to individuals who suffer from this disabling illness.
