How to Make an Inpatient Referral
Our Inpatient Cardiac Access Nurse is Maryanne Kiely, RN. She coordinates inpatient transfers to the Heart Center. She can be reached by page 24 hours per day/seven days per week by dialing 617-726-9292. She serves as a liaison between referring physicians and the Heart Center, to ensure transfer to the appropriate physician or service in a timely fashion.
For urgent transfers direct to Cardiac Cath Lab for acute myocardial infarction or unstable coronary syndrome call 617-726-8282. Ask to page the attending interventional cardiologist on-call and the cardiac access nurse immediately.
How to Make an Outpatient Referral
Our Outpatient Access Nurse is Kathleen Gallen, RN, BSN. She is the central access point for outpatient referrals to the Heart Center. She can be reached through the dedicated Heart Center outpatient phone number, 866-MGH-8910.
She is the liaison between patients or referring physicians and the Heart Center, and ensures a timely appointment with the most appropriate physician or specialty care service.
