Helping Teens Cope When The Parent Has Cancer
When a mom or dad has cancer, life can be stressful. This may be a difficult time for you, too. Even though your parent has been diagnosed with cancer, it does not mean your mom or dad stops being your parent. Things might feel like a roller coaster ride for a while. You might feel angry, scared, sad, worried or guilty. There is no right way to feel. Some of your feelings will change from day to day. Each person in your family will experience all kinds of feelings. Know that things will settle down. Even if your mom or dad can't do all the things they used to do, they can still listen, talk and love you.
