  • Front view of Female Reproductive organs in the pelvis (uterus, cervix, vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes)
  • The enlargement shows the fallopian tubes and ovary cut in half.
  • The ovaries are small organs that make female hormones (estrogen and progesterone), and make the eggs needed to form an embryo (baby)
  • The uterus is the hollow organ where a fetus grows during pregnancy.  It is lined with tissue called endometrium.
  • The cervix is the lower end of the uterus that extends into the vagina.  It has an opening that connects the uterine cavity with the vagina.
