Physician Assistants are an integral part of the multidisplinary team within the adult clinical programs at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, Boston, MA.Physician assistants (PAs) provide health-care services within the adult clinical programs with the supervision of the program's physicians. Working as members of the health-care team, they take medical histories, examine patients, order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays, make diagnoses, initiate treatment plans and write progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and order or perform therapeutic services. They are an integral part of the multidisplinary team in the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.
